Shamus McDonnell
As CEO of Hunter McDonnell Pipeline Services (HM), Shamus’ knowledge of integrity surveys include data collection, correlation and validation through excavation for leak surveys, depth of cover surveys, cathodic protection surveys, inline inspection surveys, coating condition surveys and GPS surveys. His extensive experience within North America has led to technological advancements in the industry and several opportunities for course instruction and published papers.
Comprehensive data management is key to HM’s success as an established leader of pipeline pigging and integrity services. HM's databases currently manage data for more than 60 pipeline systems comprised of more than 100 pipeline sections, totaling over 10,000 miles of pipeline. HM also manages over 30,000 miles of ILI data with over 6,500 anomaly investigation and repair digs. The database utilizes 11 different ILI vendors and five different ILI technologies, plus a multitude of different NDE and customized data formats.
